- What is The Song of the Mended?
- It's a collection of stories and poems from twenty authors across the globe, sharing their real-life stories about God, brokenness, and the road to healing.
- It shares brave testimonies of overcoming abuse, infertility, disabilities, illness, marital conflict, and identity struggles, chronicling each author's journey to healing and transformation in Christ.
- Where did the title come from?
- The title came from a poem written by Linda Heath, co-leader of The Writing Room.
- Linda's inspiration for the poem came from a prompt in a Zoom Writing Sprint hosted by The Writing Room.
- The last stanza, "all creation joins the song of the mended" - refers to all creation waiting for us to discover who we really are in Jesus (Romans 8:22)
- What is The Writing Room?
- An online Christian writing group established during the pandemic as a place for emerging and established writers to find their voice, enjoy healthy community, and explore their gifts.
- TWR (The Writing Room) is unique for its emphasis on creating safe community for writers on a healing journey. We go out of our way to avoid obvious trigger, including themes of graphic sex, violence, paranormal romance, or dark paranormal themes.
